Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy from Greek mesos, "middle", and therapy from Greek therapeia (therapy), "to treat medically". Mesotherapy is one of the most fashionable words of our era, and aesthetic medicine in particular. French doctor Michel Pistor was the one who initially discovered and applied mesotherapy around 50 years ago. His aim back then was not to apply therapies for aesthetic purposes but to confront other diseases and in fact the first application of mesotherapy was against backache!

In essence it represents a non-surgical medical treatment involving a multitude of needling, through which it is possible to effuse solutions of different active substances under the skin, solutions that the treating doctor selects in order to fight the featured problem (such as cellulite, local fat, over relaxation and aging of the skin etc). The substances usually featured are vitamins, nutrients, hyaluronic acid, aminoacids and antioxidants. Mesotherapy may be performed in any part of the human body. Therefore it is relatively easy to find treatments that may be applied not only on the face but also to the rest of the body and under the same therapeutic objective. Like we said it depends on the kind of solution that shall be effused and the depth that the effusion will take place.

At diesse we provide you with advanced training on mesotherapy.
